Author
I’m Tanith and I’m an urban fantasy writer working towards publishing my first novel. Having completed a major in Religion & Culture while watching and reading copious amounts of manga and anime, I especially love incorporating Japanese mythology.
My favorite thing about urban fantasy (and this is found in anime/manga especially) is the variety. It’s not all sparkly vampires and mating werewolves.
Everyday, authors completely reinvent the normal or bring creatures almost completely lost to human consciousness back to life.
The gods are said to exist because of belief… and now they can come back, if only in our imaginations. The only limit is ourselves.
That’s why I started Tsukiyomi — not only to hold me accountable on getting published, but to examine aspects of urban fantasy, writing and mythology that can make this genre even better.
When I’m not writing, working or reading, I play roller derby, hunt down geocaches, and plan my backpacking trips. I don’t drink coffee, but london fogs and green tea lattes are pretty close to bliss for me.

My Writing
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Summary: Famous espers (psychics) Yuri and Cain are both hired to investigate a haunting at a mansion. Yuri works alone. Always has, always will. And most others are fakes anyway. Unfortunately, it’s not a ghost that they’re hunting, and Yuri finds she needs Cain’s help.
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Summary: He used to lead an army. He used to be powerful. He used to be possessed. But now he’s left broken, and he can’t let the one person who never left his side be chained down to him.
Genre: Sci Fi/Urban Fantasy
Summary: Luke attempts to come with grips that his friend and teammate is really a transmogrifying poly-form vulpus lagopus (also known as a Kitsune). It doesn’t help that Kaine is acting odd — even odder than usual.
